Mercury retrograde in Virgo, August 30 - September 22, 2016

As Mercury, the planet of communication and intellect goes retrograde it tends to create a certain level of confusion and they are all obvious ones.


Now in Virgo, one of the signs ruled by Mercury, its effect might be more significant than when in the other signs as we fall under the spell of constant thinking, calculating and questioning. There are defiantly two sides of this coin. First, there is not much we can do about the actions of others, except to be more conscious and prepared for any delays or errors by double checking. Secondly, as much as outer matters can be challenged, introspection and inner work is very supported.

Though said by many Astrologers to not make any important moves when Mercury is retrograde I have found it to be an excellent time for more productive and focused activities, especially related to self improvement. Therefor, take advantage of this energy flow by clearing your own tendencies to get caught up in your own shadows and those of others.

Another key when Mercury retrogrades in the highly detail-oriented and somewhat critical Virgo is to avoid getting stuck in over analyzing things or worrying too much about the outcome. Instead, use this period as a thorough inventory of your life as it favors organization, planing and solving practical problems.
