2022’s first new moon lights up our sky on Sunday and brings the energy to set goals that are tangible, achievable and stabilizing. So much change has occurred since 2020 and it will probably take us quite some time to fully grasp the psychological and spiritual effects of the weight we’ve been under. Yet, despite all of that turmoil, you have probably learned a lot in the process.
Capricorn, the mystical Sea-Goat, is the one and only zodiac sign that holds both worlds in perfect balance. Reality and magic collide in Capricorn and we are gently reminded with this new moon that all is possible. Closely configured is a strong, exciting trine to Uranus, the planet of rapid and exciting change as well as independence and revolution. The cold full moon of December is pushing each of us to ponder about how we want to be seen and heard. Perhaps we need to examine and clarify the messages we put out there through every visual presentation of ourselves (website, speaking style, social media)? Everything is energy and this lunar event is simply saying: Only speak what you want to be brought into existence!
You may feel distracted, like Geminis tend to be at times, but overall this can be a very creative phase. More and more ideas will keep popping in with the potential to make you reach your desired goals. Charming and sensible like the Moon guides you to be, you should take advantage of the good relationships you are establishing with various people during this period. So, find a kindred spirit and collaborate with someone whose skills complement yours. With the spotlight on communication, take a little time and focus on how your conscious mind communicates with your subconscious. Ask yourself: • Do I truly believe in the outcomes I work toward? • Do I expect bad things to happen, or do I expect great things? Why? • What do I spend most of my time thinking about? • How does my current reality match my inner thoughts? • Do I trust myself for inner-guidance, or am I always seeking outside opinions? In the midst of the Holiday season, embrace the fact that everything changes, nothing stays the same and neither should you. Magnified by the fact that this particular new moon and solar eclipse is happening in free-spirited, bold, outspoken Sagittarius — ruled by go-big-or-go-home Jupiter, we will all feel like pioneers in spirit. This also means you can expect changes to revolve around truth- and knowledge-seeking, long-distance travel, belief systems, and faith. One thing about Sagittarius souls is that they never give up on their freedom, so think twice (or three times) what freedom means to you. We also have the Uranus-Saturn square in the mix, presenting various challenging — but also potentially eye-opening — moments. The push-pull between the status quo and revolution, foundational structures, and electrifying shake-ups, will be a focal point during this month. Media feeds us with half-truths and whole-delusion, depending on us being passive and uncritical. This last new moon is that beacon of your own truth, to analyze the stream of illusions and to see whether it resonates with your core wisdom or not.
