Full moon Cancer ~ Jan 7, 2023

A full moon always takes place with the moon (ruler of your internal self) forming an opposition with the sun (ruler of your external self) - creating inner turmoil and forcing us into action. Now in Cancer, the sign she rules, she is able to express her powers to the fullest. Or is she? 

With a near blank slate full of potential, the beginning of the new year might feel both overwhelming and hopeful. With two retrogrades in full swing (Mars, the planet of action and Mercury, the planet of communication) that much awaited forward motion could throw you off. One thing is sure, you’re bound to get swept up in intense emotions, potentially with a sensation of frustration, being stuck or just plain tired, in the mix.  

The moon also represents what makes us feel safe and secure as well as our ability to nurture ourselves and to take care of our emotional needs. The Cancer lunar event invites you to stand up for those needs, your comfort and your security. Who or what has been standing in the way of peace for you? Confrontations that arise during this time have likely been brewing for a long time.
