When Mercury goes retrograde in Sagittarius, it is time for a quest to discover meaning and to see where in your life your could benefit from a broader perspective or even patience. Intellect and awareness are all within Mercury's domain, as are logic and reasoning and how we manner, create and express our thoughts. Now in retrograde motion, errors are bound to happen!

The arena for this drama is in Sagittarius, the sign of learning, truth and yes...long travels. When retrograde Mercury is in this highly outspoken sign it can can trigger an onslaught of opinions that would be better left unsaid. Although you may feel the need to address a particular matter, you may in fact, make things worse. Generally speaking, practice being mindful and use this time for research and inner work.

Mercury rules over all types of communication, whether it is writing, speaking, reading, social media interactions, technology, or any other method of transmitting information. It also rules transportation and travels, and during Mercury retrograde periods, there are more noticeable disruptions, breakdowns, and complications within all of these areas. The key is planning, and to approach life events as a source of personal and spiritual growth.

This Mercury retrograde period leads into the winter holidays, when we anticipate (with pleasure or pain) spending time with family.
