Get to know your spirit guides better!

This is a short extract from our book The Spiritual Design - Channeled Teachings, Wave 1, where I shed some light on the different spirit guides you can come in contact with as you work with the unseen realms.  

What is a spirit guide?
A spirit guide is someone, who briefly, or for a longer period of time, joins us on our journey through life. These wise beings can come in many different shapes and forms, but they all share one objective, and that is to help us through different life events. View these helpers as your best friends, who not only hold your highest good and well-being as a sole priority but also have the bigger picture at hand. They follow you closely, or from a distance, depending on your personal development or stated agreements before you entered this life. Their affection are limitless, even when you seem to do everything wrong, they will patiently help you back on track without even saying “Didn’t I tell you?”, even though they actually did. Spirit guides are our invisible friends, who care and love us unconditionally.

What different spirit guides exists?
There are countless of spiritual helpers, all origin from different realities and who are assigned unique missions based on their own creation. They can assist us personally, tend to Earth and humanity as a whole, or they can be caretakers for larger matters beyond our human comprehension. We will focus here on some of the most common guides you will meet when working with the spirit realm. The first guide you will probably meet, is one that you have shared several lifetimes on Earth with. We can call this helper a personal guide. This is not your main guide but someone well familiar with your skills and challenges as you incarnate.

Personal guide: This spirit helper will show him/herself in a way that will mirror a prior encounter of significance for this lifetime. Normally this helper will assist you in your personal development, pointing out your pros and cons if you like. This guide will help you to understand what skills to enhance in order to for you to activate your true mission.

Love ones: Just because a dear family member or friend have passed, doesn’t mean they have left us. In many ways our love ones share the same assignment as a personal guide, even though their main purpose is to provide comfort and loving presence for us to know that they are fine. Both personal guides and loves ones take great interest in our day-to- day life, and will not complain if we call them up for a chat after hours.

The gate-keeper: The primary function of your gate-keeper is to make sure that the environment around you when practicing spirit communication is safe. View this guide as your personal bodyguard, and if you later choose to work professionally as a medium, the gate-keeper’s role will become even more important.

Specialists: These guides assist your personal or main guide with specific matters, such as schooling or work. They are send to sharpen or awaken certain skills, providing discipline and clarity on the bigger steps in life.

Main guide: This is the one who knows you the best, the one assigned to you in the spirit realm, and the one in charge of your soul’s progress. You have probably incarnated at one point together, but as you evolve, your main guide normally takes a step back. View this wise being is a parent, allowing its children to test their own wings, yet always present to make sure you are flying in the right direction.

Nature spirits and animals: Spirit activity and presence in nature, such as within trees and plants, in our waters and the rocks around us, are well-known phenomena for the natives. Our pets can provide us much insight about companionship, teaching us about unconditional love and pure happiness. Nature spirits bring awareness of the care for Earth and to honor all lifeforms.

Healing guides: This is your personal physician, the one who tend to your physical, mental and emotional well-being. Your healing guide will remain by your side throughout life and can easily be felt as you sit in the power of light. Normally the healing guides work with us when we sleep, they can appear with familiar features or simply as a pole of light.

Guardian Angels: Spirit guides can appear to us in male or female form, having very different personalities. Angels on the other hand, are androgynous beings of light who never walked as mortals upon the Earth, having a higher vibrating energy frequency. With respect to free will and the cosmic laws, which no spiritual being stand above, the guardian angel will always circle around you, protecting you from harm and will try to redirect you from making bad decisions.

Archangels: These angels are extraordinary beings, the extensions of the Creator itself, and they are all healers. The archangels are essentially everyone’s guardians, concerned with almost all human advancement. They are the protectors of all planets and all lifeforms and like all angels, these high vibrating spiritual beings, have never incarnated on Earth.

Masters of higher orders: These beings belong in the higher dimensions, they are the galactic masters, the co-creators of star systems, galaxies and the cosmic laws. They are the master teachers of all dimensions and universes, some said to have walked on Earth.

Higher self: Doing spiritual and inner work, you will eventually be more in tuned with your own soul and the nature of your spirit, also known as your higher self. This is a process, and depending on your soul’s energy it could first be perceived as a spirit guide. Once the understanding of your true identity is established, you will operate from your own source and get direct guidance from within.

Take your time when working with spirit. It's an effort from both sides, which will bring you great happiness and is a source of learning more about who you truly are and why you have come to Earth. Good luck!
